The shiplap profile creates a stepped overlap at every horizontal joint. Rain runs off. Wind can't find a gap. No sealant required for standard vertical-rain installations.

Prepare the frame
Framing at 450mm or 600mm centres. Check plumb and straightness — MGO shows what's behind it.
Cut to size
Score with a Stanley knife and snap, or use an angle grinder for angles. No wet saw required.
Fix and overlap
Apply from bottom up. Shiplap edge overlaps 15mm. Fix at 200mm centres to each stud with 8-gauge Type 17 screws.
Finish and coat
Smooth face takes acrylic render, texture coat or direct paint. No primer required on standard applications.
