The recessed profile allows jointing compound to fill flush with the face. Tape, skim and paint — the wall looks like one continuous surface. No movement, no cracking at joints.

MGO doesn't absorb moisture and doesn't support mould. Use it behind tiled showers, in laundries, or anywhere steam is a problem. Same Class A1 non-combustible core as every Magna panel.

Set out the frame
Timber or steel stud at 450mm or 600mm centres. MagnaLiner is heavier than plasterboard — check top-plate fixings on long runs.
Cut to size
Score-and-snap for straight cuts. Angle grinder or jigsaw for cut-outs. Smooth the edge with a float if needed.
Fix to studs
8-gauge Type 17 screws at 200mm centres. Recess the screw head slightly — same as standard plasterboard practice.
Joint and finish
Fill the recessed joint with standard jointing compound. Tape, skim and sand. Prime and paint — done.
Feel the face. Check the edge.
